Off spin wizard Saeed Ajmal took seven wickets for 55 runs as Pakistan put England in a spin to reduce the number one test side on just 192 on the first day of the Dubai Test. England decided to bat after winning the toss but the Pakistan attack kept taking wickets regularly and reduced England to 43 for 5, it was wicket keeper Matt Prior who dropped the Anchor and batted well alongside the tail to give England a rather respectable 192 runs total. Pakistan ended they day on 42-0, exactly 150 behind England's first innings total.

But the day belong to spinner Saeed Ajmal who took a career best seven wickets in the innings, English batsmen had no answer to Ajmal's off spin and the doosra.
