Zaka Ashraf: New PCB Chairman
Zaka Ashraf has been announced as the next chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). After ex president National Bank Ali Raza, the name of Zaka Ashraf, the president of Zarai Taraqyati Bank Limited (ZTBL) emerged.
Zaka Ashraf has been associated with the Pakistan People's Party since the 1970's. He was a keen member of the party from the time of the late Prime Minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
Ashraf is one of the closest friends of President Asif Ali Zardari and is also a member of PPP’s central executive committee. Ashraf was appointed president and chief executive of ZTBL by PPP in 2008. The man from Bahawalpur has also been the chairman of Pakistan Sugar Mills Association.
