Dalglish praises table-topping Liverpool
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has lavished praise on his table-topping Liverpool side. Liverpool dismantled Bolton Wanderers 3-1 yesterday thanks to goals from Jordan Henderson, Martin Skrtel and Charlie Adam.
Their stay at the summit could be short-lived as both Manchester United and Manchester City look to continue their winning starts to the season this afternoon against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.
"It was a pleasure to watch. We got the result because we worked hard, played together and played for each other. To lose a goal at the end maybe puts a dampener on it for 40 seconds or so but that also says a lot," said Dalglish.
Praise was also reserved for striker Luis Suarez, who was a constant threat despite not getting on the scoresheet.
"(Luis Suarez is) a fantastic player and a good character in and around the place," added the Scot.
Bolton manager Owen Coyle was left to rue his side's own errors after they started the game the better of the two teams.
"We shot ourselves in the foot at the start of the second half by conceding two goals. They were good finishes from both the (Liverpool) lads but poor defending from us as a group," he said.
