Sohail Tanvir to Lead Pakistan A versus Afghanistan

Pakistan's out-of-favour Test all-rounder Sohail Tanvir has been appointed the captain of its second string team that will take on Afghanistan in a ground-breaking one-day series to be held later this month.

Tanvir, who has been sidelined from Pakistan duty because of fitness problems and indifferent form, will lead a 15-man Pakistan A squad that includes a number of players who have either played or are knocking at the doors of international cricket.


Pakistan A will play a series of three one-day matches against the visiting Afghans (May 25, First one-day at Faisalabad; May 27, Second one-day at Rawalpindi; May 29, Third one-day at Abbottabad )
