The Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday re launched it's official website. The old site is still accessible at http://www.pcboard.com.pk/ but would soon be discontinued. For years PCB were running the outdated and grim looking website as compared to website of other Cricket Boards.

A PCB press release stated on Monday that the new website http://www.pcb.com.pk/ from now on is going to be the only official internet home of the Pakistan Cricket Team. 

The Pakistan Cricket Board hired leading Lahore based IT firm "Future Now Technologies" to develop the new website. The new improved looking website is a massive improvement on the old site. 

The new site is a result of synchronized hard work done between the PCB and Future Now Technologies to present a modern user friendly home for all Pakistani and international fans and followers of Pakistan Cricket.

The site will showcase all information related to the PCB and Pakistan Cricket. The site features an extensive live scores section that will enable all cricket fans to follow the ongoing World Cup matches and will contain immediately updated information on all cricket matches taking place domestically and internationally.

The site also features detailed information on the Pakistan World Cup squad. Further development plans for the web portal also include archival data on all Pakistan cricketers and domestic tournaments which will allow avid fans the ability to follow the domestic game as never before. 

A cricket shop is also in the development stage and when ready will give the sites visitors the ability to purchase their favored cricket merchandise and memorabilia online.

The PCB and Future Now Technologies are now working towards the development of Social Media tools for the new website. This would mean that soon the PCB would soon have its own presence on Facebook as well as on Twitter that would enable the fans to get involved in discussions and debates.

Commenting on the relaunching of the official website Chief Operating Officer PCB Mr. Subhan Ahmad stated, "With the launch of the freshly revamped Web portal PCB seeks to provide Pakistani Cricket fans and followers the world over a unique experience on the World Wide Web. All information related to the Board and the events taking place in Pakistan Cricket are now just a click away. The website is the home of Pakistan Cricket and the PCB and fans will have an unparalleled view into all aspects of the game of Cricket in the country by simply visiting the site. We have extensive plans to add Social Media Platforms on the site in the future and we seek to provide a personalized web experience to all Pakistani fans the world over".
