Liverpool Agree Friendly With Rangers At Ibrox

Rangers will welcome Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool in a midweek friendly at Ibrox Stadium on Tuesday 18 October.

Charlie Adam and Danny Wilson are the two reds who played for Rangers. Rangers boss Ally McCoist said:

“They are a fantastic club and their squad is packed with world class players so I have no doubt this game will capture the imagination of our supporters.

“We look forward to welcoming Charlie Adam and Danny Wilson back to Ibrox and I am sure the fans will turn out in huge numbers once again to watch us in action against such a high-profile English Premiership side.”

The two clubs have arranged the friendly as they seek added income to compensate for the lack of income from European competition this season.

Liverpool failed to finish high enough last season to qualify for either the Champions League or Europa League.

Scottish champions Rangers lost to Malmo in Champions League qualifying and then failed to overcome Maribor in their attempt to reach the Europa League group stage.
