Spain beat Chile 3-2 in an exciting match. M.Isla gave Chile the lead in only the 10th minute, the Chileans were playing some brilliant football and dominated Spain and were soon 2 goals ahead thanks to Juan Vargas.

Chile seemed to relax in the second half and Spain equalized through Andreas Iniesta, Cesc Fabregas leveled the match on 72 minutes. And struck from the penalty spot in injury time after Contreras was shown a direct red. The game then turned ugly leading to a mass brawl which marred a brilliant match.
