You can basically categorize the midfielders in three categories the play makers, wingers, and the bargain buys.
Play Makers:
1. David Silva
I'll keep it short, one of the must buy players to have in the fantasy premier league will score and assist, he'll be the heart of the Manchester City team.
2. Frank Lampard
One of the consistent scorer among the midfielders and one who always comes up with assists but he under performed last year. Expensive at 12 but you can't count him out. Fifty-fifty I say.
3. Charlie Adam
Earned the most points of any midfielders last year, now at Liverpool and will be supplying to the trio of Andy Carroll, Luis Suarez and Stewart Downing. I'd say YES.
4. Rafael Van der Vaart
One of the signings of the season last time round. The Dutchman will be a key figure in the Tottenham team if Luka Modric departs.
5. Jack Wilshere/ Aaron Ramsey
Both cheap both play in midfield for Arsenal and will be regular starters after the departure of club captain Cesc Fabregas. Cheap too. Could buy one of the two.
Wingers:
1. Luis Nani/Ashely Young
One of them should be in your team.
2. Stewart Downing
Supplying to Carroll and Suarez can score as well. Part of the King Kenny revolution. You can depend on him to get you points.
3. Aaron Lennon/Gareth Bale
Part of the attacking Tottenham side, the duo is sure to notch up a number of assists and both can score.
4. Matt Jarvis
Less expensive but effective.
5. Chris Brunt
West Brom like playing football like it should be played and Chris Brunt is the man who dictates play at the heart of the midfield.
