Pakistan Cricket Team Leaves For West Indies Tour
The Pakistan Cricket Team Left For West Indies on the wee hours on Thursday. Shahid Afridi will lead team in T20 and one-dayers while Misbah-ul-Haq will head the Test squad and Pakistan will play a warm-up match on April 18, while the tour formally starts from April 21.
Talking to media at Allama Iqbal International Airport here team manager Intikhab Alam said the Caribbean tour will provide an opportunity to young players to show their performance. He hoped the team will win the West Indies series.
The series consists of five One Day Internationals , two tests and a solitary Twenty20 match to kick off the tour.
Pakistan have included a few new faces in the squad the likes of Sadaf Hussain, Usman Salahuddin, Hammad Azam and Wicket Keeper Muhammad Salman. West Indies have also rested key players like Chris Gayle , Chanderpaul and Ramnaresh Sarwan. West Indies announced their 13 man squad for the first two ODI's yesterday.
