Mayank Agarwal | The New Virender Sehwag ?

So who is this kid ?
Agarwal was a bright spot in a disappointing Under-19 World Cup 2010 for India, top-scoring for his side in the tournament. He is an explosive right-hand opening batsman from Bangalore, who has modelled his style of play on Virender Sehwag.

Mayank Agarwal hails from Bangalore and learned cricket from cricket academy at Bangalore. He was quiet impressive in under 19 cricket and in Cooch Behar under 19 trophy in 2008 -09 when he was just 18 years old, he smashed 432 runs in 5 matches. He toured Australia in 2009 with the U-19 side and hit a match-winning 160 in a one-dayer.

He is yet to get any opportunity to play any first class cricket, however he has shown his batting talent in Twenty 20 cricket. So far he has played six Twenty 20 games and scored 199 runs at an average of 39.80 at a strike rate of 139.

He made his IPL debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore at Kochi on Apr 9, 2011 against Kochi Tuskers Kerala and scored a brisk 33 of 24 balls that included two 4's and two six's.

We'll surely get to see a lot more of this talented batsman in the IPL and in the coming years.
