Umpires of Pakistan's matches in World Cup 2011


ICC has announced appointments for World Cup matches. Steve Davis and Kumar Dharmasena will stand in first match of World Cup which will be played between India and Bangladesh at Dhaka. Billy Doctrove and Asad Rauf will be third and 4th umpire respectively. Ranjan Madugalle will be match refree.

Umpires in matches of Pakistan:

23rd February - Pakistan v Kenya. Tony Hill and Nigel Llong. Daryl Harper (third), Shahvir Tarapore (fourth), Chris Broad (referee)

26th February - Sri Lanka v Pakistan. Daryl Harper and Ian Gould. Nigel Llong (third), Tony Hill (fourth), Chris Broad (referee)

 3rd March - Pakistan v Canada. Daryl Harper and Nigel Llong, Tony Hill (third), Ian Gould (fourth), Chris Broad (referee)

 8th March - Pakistan v New Zealand. Daryl Harper and Nigel Llong, Ian Gould (third), Shahvir Tarapore (fourth), Chris Broad (referee)

14th March - Pakistan v Zimbabwe. Nigel Llong and Tony Hill, Marais Erasmus (third), Ranmore Martinesz (fourth), Chris Broad (referee)

19th March - Australia v Pakistan. Tony Hill and Marais Erasmus, Nigel Llong (third), Tyron Wijewardena (fourth), Chris Broad (referee)

Aleem Dar’s matches as on-field Umpire:

25 Feb - Bangladesh v Ireland

2 Mar - England v Ireland

4 Mar - New Zealand v Zimbabwe

14 Mar - Bangladesh v Netherlands

19 Mar - Bangladesh v South Africa

Appointments of Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Final will be announced after the group stage. 

Interesting facts: 

- Daryl Harper, who has been quite controversial umpire for almost a year and also gave too many decisions against Pakistan in recent series against New Zealan, will stand in 3 of Pakistan's matches.

- Aleem Dar's all matches as on-field Umpire are in matches involving a minnow.
