With his brace in the victory over Cardiff City at Anfield, Liverpool's red hot Luis Suarez became the first player to score 10 goals in a calendar month in the English Premier League.
The sizzling strikers opening strike at Anfield took him clear of Mark Viduka's record of eight goals for Leeds United in April 2003. Suarez struck again before half time to become the only player to reach double figures in a month. The brace also meant that Suarez becomes the first player to score a brace in four consecutive English Premier League matches.
Liverpool & Suarez still have two more games coming up thing month, against the free-scoring Manchester City on Boxing Day and then away to Chelsea on 29 December, which could see the striker extend his goal record even further.
