Joe Cole To Hamburg ?
Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole is being linked with a move to German side Hamburg. The Sunday People suggests that the Bundesliga side’s sporting director Frank Arnesen, who was in a similar role at Chelsea during Cole’s time at Stamford Bridge, is interested in taking him to his new club.
Liverpool midfielder Raul Meireles is also being linked with a move away from Anfield after rejecting a new deal with the club less than a year after arriving from Porto in a deal worth over £10 million. Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan are both being linked with a move for the 28-year-old who scored five goals in 41 games for Liverpool last season.
According to the Mirror Liverpool have turned their attention back to N'Zogbia after they were joined by Arsenal in the race to sign Downing following the Gunners' £18million bid received by Aston Villa on Friday. The moves come after Wigan chairman Dave Whelan said the club had no choice but to sell the 25-year-old this summer.
