Pakistan Cricket Board Suspends Muhammad Ilyas

The Pakistan Cricket Board has suspended member of selection committee Muhammad Ilyas on charges of violating code of conduct.

The PCB in a statement  said that an inquiry committee was formed to look into the matter. Ilyas while talking to media admitted to violate the boards code of conduct and said he was ready to face the inquiry committee.

Earlier the PCB had issued show cause notice to Ilyas. It is to mention here that there has been a war of words between former captain Shahid Afridi and Muhammad Ilyas since the limited-overs captain arrived Pakistan after West Indies tour.

Ilyas openly criticised Shahid Afridi on various TV channels, to which Afridi didn't reply. Although earlier Shahid Afridi had accused Ilyas of favoring his son-in-law Imran Farhat.
