The incident occurred in the 6th ODI of the series between Australia & England. Doubts were cast over Prior’s honesty after he was caught him appealing for a bowled against Mitchell Johnson when he had knocked the bails off himself.

Johnson's back foot was firmly planted in the crease and there was no chance Prior was appealing for the stumping, and there were some boos around the ground when the replay was shown on the big screen.


Comments on various live blogs during the game suggested Prior had been cheating.
